Business Trends

The Personal Computer is not only changing the way we live; it is literally changing the way we think. With vast amounts of data now available in electronic form, enormous stacks of paper are likely at some point to be a thing of the past.

The conventional mail system may be the next thing to go. There is a recent wave of sending correspondence, computer files, and even photographs over phone lines (through a modem device). Companies, like WW.YAHOO.COM, which provide e - mail service, are growing in number, as is the number of people finding such services helpful and potentially profitable.

Researchers predict that huge amounts of information will be uploaded onto the "World Wide Web," a.k.a. The Internet. Businesses can use these web sites for customer relations, organizing, marketing, or advertising purposes. Cutting-edge companies trying to stay a step ahead of the competition are looking into ways to maximize this potentially global communications system.

One way to do this is to hire a computer programmer to place and fill orders through high-speed data transmission lines, many of which utilize a fiber optic cable.

It won't be long before a vast majority of business owners enroll for the Internet Service Provider. And it won't be long before their companies out-maneuver those left behind by the information superhighway.
