Dress Code: A Found Article

Boys:
- Hair is to be above-the-collar and clean.
No braids, dreadlocks, or decorative shaving.
- Ears may be pierced; other body piercing
is unacceptable.
- Ties and jackets are required; a vest is
not necessary.
- Shoes should be conservative and in good
condition.
- Suspenders and belts should have the American
flag on them.
- Hats are not permitted (except cowboy hats).
Girls
- Hair is to be above-the-collar and clean.
No braids, dreadlocks, or decorative shaving.
- Legs and armpits must be shaved, but not
decoratively (see above).
- Proper undergarments (bra, slip, and corset)
must be worn at all times.
- Skirts must be no more than four (4) inches
above the ground. This will be measured by a supervisor, when
the girl in question is standing straight-legged in ordinary
shoes and not touching or adjusting the skirt in any way.
- Brown pantyhose are permitted. Tights, leggings,
fishnet stockings, garters, legwarmers, embroidered hose, legcoolers,
teddies, leather, knee-high boots, crotchless panties, and bullwhips
are not.
- Modest jewelry is permitted. What is “modest”
will be determined firstly and finally by the supervisor or
Personnel Manager.
- Makeup should be light, realistic, and not
distracting in any way from the work environment.
